1935-37 Zippo Lighters

 Thanks to some friends in Vietnam, finally got hold of some vintage 1935-1937 Zippo lighters which are in superb condition.


These lighters were manufactured between 1935-1937, with their distinctive features.

Squarish sharp corners, inside 4 barrel hinges, flat bottoms with PAT 2032695 stamped on, horizontal flintwheels, unmarked inserts, piston-like cam springs, U-shaped cams which were soldered onto the top lids and 14 holes chimneys.

Diagonal lines at the corners of the lighters were added since later on in year 1933 after the first Zippo was sold. We named it as Art Deco. The simple, clean geometric shapes offer a streamlined look that people love.

Pure and Precious Metals Series Zippo Lighters (Titanium)

  Over the past years, Zippo has manufactured a few sensational precious metal series lighters. Namely the solid Titanium Zippo lighter (discontinued), the solid Copper Zippo lighter (discontinued), the solid Brass Zippo lighter, the Sterling Silver Zippo lighter, and of course, the solid Gold Zippo lighter. The solid Titanium Zippo was manufactured in the year 2001, with the production halted in year 2006. They retailed for only US$98 initially, but due to the stop in production in year 2006. Solid Titanium Zippo lighters became much sought after, by collectors around the world, causing its price to reach new heights every year, as the number of solid Titanium Zippos decrease in the market. The unique patina formed by the chemical reaction of solid Titanium surface with our human oil over time is what makes it so special. Due to the properties of Titanium, a solid Titanium Zippo lighter weighs only 44grams, compared to a normal chrome plated Zippo lighter at 56.7grams.

75th Anniversary Zippo Limited Edition

  One of my favourite Armored Zippo Lighters, the 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Zippo. Year 2007 marks the 75th year since Zippo started in year 1932. Embedded in the center of the Zippo flame, is a genuine Swarovski crystal. With unique armored bottom stamp, this definitely stands out amongst the rest. A total of 37,198 were manufactured and distributed around the world. What i have here is from the USA market, 1 of 14,000.
